The room was very clean and well maintained. I’m sure the sheets are changed for every guest because I arrived a little early and saw the lovely cleaning lady thoroughly preparing the room. The owner Mahmoud is incredibly nice and welcoming. He speaks very good English, which made communication much easier for me. The location in Plateau is also excellent. The area feels very safe, and I even felt comfortable walking around in the evening, since there are security guards throughout the neighborhood.

The bathroom is quite small. When I wash my face or brush my teeth, water tends to splash onto the toilet seat. The water pressure in the shower is also quite low. I also felt that the bathroom could offer more privacy, as the window seems to be somehow facing the neighboring house. Because the neighborer is so close, I could sometimes hear conversations from next door quite clearly from my room. The neighbors also have children, so there can be some noise in the evening. One night, I was woken up by a baby crying so loudly that it seemed like the whole building could hear it. I hope everything was okay with the little baby! Another thing to keep in mind is the payment process. Payment needs to be made in cash, and since Mahmoud is sometimes too busy to collect it himself, you may need to go to a nearby Orange Money shop to transfer the money. Guests also need to pay for electricity separately. I think it would be much more convenient if the electricity cost could simply be included in the accommodation price. It would also make the whole process much easier for international guests if online payment by Visa card could be accepted directly through the booking platform.
