Mr.Guaye was an excellent host. He made me welcome and his daughter took me to get a SIM card that night. Mr.Gauye speaks good English as well as fluent French and Wolof. This was helpful in securing taxis, advice on the area and as a solo female traveller I felt extremely safe in the accommodation snd surrounding quiet area.
An example of Mr.Guaye going sbove and beyond was when i had booked my regular taxi for my return to the bus station agreeing 3000cfa. He didnt turn up so hailed a taxi who said 1500cfa but that was to the local bus station. It would then cost 6000cfa but I only had 3000cfa and no local atm. Mr.Gauye came to the rescue and sent over 3000cfa to the taxi (which i then repaid via my husbands Wave account) - Mr.Gauye is a hero!
Only small details that would make it 10/10 which I discussed with Mr.Guaye ie towels. soap, tea, coffee. It made no difference to me as I had checked prior to bring a towel and there are several minimarts. But if you are comparing with European then thats what you would expect. Mr.Guaye said he would provide this in the future.
