Lakeview Retreat in the Heart of Kings Beach

Decently priced. The view from the 2nd and 3rd floors of the lake were amazing and there was 2 balconies where you can watch the sunrise/sunset. There was a lot of room for a group of 8 people. The place was stocked with kitchen utensils so you can make meals for your family. 4 full bathrooms so no one had to wait to shower after the lake.

No AC, which we were told to open the kitchen window and balconies. When kitchen window was opened, there were spider webs and spiders all around it, so that was quickly closed back up. Spider webs all over the place, including inside the house in the corner of the walls, furniture, near beds where kids were to sleep (right next to the head!), and dead spiders inside bath cloth holding containers…gave off a dirty vibe. The bed mattresses were all firm/hard without much padding making it really difficult to sleep and get good rest. Some things in the house were broken like the jets and big spout in the master bedroom. Some floor boards also cracked…whole home definitely could use some renovations. Shower prayed in different directions. No blinds on the windows which made it a little awkward to shower, although the windows were not facing the neighbors. The balconies both very dusty with old furniture that stained clothes. Lastly, the door had no padlock and kitchen window didn’t lock. I called the number that was provided near the door about this and was told that it was a safe neighborhood and the local was a firefighter…that really was irrelevant information. There should be locks where nonlocals can feel safe where they stay. Not walking distance to Kings Beach with small children, about 1 mile away.
