Please stay at our cool lakefront cottage on Mallets Bay, Colchester. Very private with hedges\fences on 3 sides and a mix of open water and marsh in front of you, as well as Mt Mansfield & the Green Mtns in the background. This was originally a seasonal camp, converted to year-roud use decades ago and upgraded regularly. Bear in mind, it is still a cottage We have a 100' dock for your boat [its shallow, details provided if you're bringing a boat], and we provide a canoe & rowboat. A firepit & bbq and a big lawn with games provided make this a good spot for relaxing or as a launch pad for the famous Island Line bike trail, a 1-minute ride/walk away. 20 minutes by bike to Burlington, 10 by car. Swimming is a 3-minute walk to our shared shale beach, as it's a muddy bottom and marshy area directly in front of the cottage. Close by are beaches, natural area's walking biking paths, grocery stores, restaurant, even a drive-in movie spot all minutes away.
