About this house rental
We love our house! We've been renovating it for almost ten years and we're so happy to now invite others in!
Bedrooms (4)
Our home has one en suite master bedroom with an additional day bed included. This room has a TV, a gas fireplace, and a sliding door that leads to the backyard and a small balcony. There are two other bedrooms that sleep two more each, one with two twin beds and the other with a pull-out day bed (which is king-sized when fully pulled out). The last bedroom has two private entrances and has access to the laundry room/bathroom. This room is very special. It includes a day bed with two mattresses, a Lego collection that spans over 15 years, books, a piano, a dedicated workspace area, as well as a TV and a Blu-Ray player. Old school? Maybe, but our Blue-Ray /DVD collection includes some hard-to-find titles and is yours to enjoy. Best of all, there is a doggy-door in the back door in this room. allowing puppies to easily access a private gated area for their comfort. Dogs are welcome throughout the home, of course, to spend time with their responsible dog owners.
Bathrooms (3)
There are three bathrooms. One has a shower only and serves as the laundry room, and it is accessible through the fourth bedroom. The Master Bath includes a bathtub Jacuzzi. The last bathroom has a shower and a bathtub. Each of the toilets in this home is equipped with a bidet.
Kitchen
Our kitchen includes all amenities needed to host large meals. The breakfast nook seats 3 and is a great place to serve coffee from our 14-cup coffee maker. The lower left portion of the refrigerator is a freezer; the section on the right, however, can be customized for use as a freezer, another fridge, or a meat cooler. We've gone one Costco and still not managed to fill that fridge.
Living and Dining Rooms
The large living space of our home includes sofa seating for 7, although in the past we have certainly hosted more there! Feel free to let the kids play with the large assortment of toys on the bookshelf, or perhaps settle down for a calm game of chess. There is very, very fast Wi-Fi throughout the home. The TV is ideal for movie night, so log in to your favorite apps and enjoy the accompanying sound system. The large dining table easily fits 12, and more can squeeze in on the benches. Centrally located, our beautiful Thelin wood-burning fireplace invites cozy gathers and meaningful conversations around the hearth! Need help starting a fire? Simply let us know and we'll do our best to lend a hand!
Comfort: Heat and Cold
There are two fireplaces, one in the living area and one in the bedroom. During cold months these units are more than adequate to heat the entire home. However, there is also a furnace available for use. In the hot summer months, the home is readily cooled by a whole-house swamp cooler that draws in cold air, especially at night.
Parking, Outdoors
One of the best features of our one-store home is its accessibility. The property can easily park 4 vehicles without blocking the driveway, so people can still play basketball. Got an RV that needs to be parked and hooked up? No problem--there is power, water, and sewer drainage right in front. There is a sidewalk that goes all of the way around the house, so kids can run or ride scooters in circles until they tire! The outdoor patio is right off of the kitchen, which includes dinnerware for outdoor dining and barbecuing.
The front grass yard is considered a "Dog Park" and has been lovingly named after our pups, brother and sister Maverick and River. Sit outside and watch your pups play! With the main gate closed, the property is entirely fenced in and secure, so dogs may roam from the front to the back with ease. If your dog love to dig holes, maybe keep an eye on them!
In the very back of the property are some empty bee hive boxes. Do you notice bees taking up residence there? Please let us know asap and we'll have them moved to our apiary immediately--and thank for helping Save the Bees!
The Neighborhood
Our neighborhood is peaceful, quiet, and only minutes from dining, shopping centers, and gas stations. The neighbors themselves are friendly, hard-working, and respectful of each other and private property. We are sure our guests will be, as well! Welcome to Joeger Rd!
