Welcome to our charming cottage located in Eauze, capital of Armagnac in the heart of the Gers.
This welcoming house can accommodate up to 5 guests.
It is perfect for holidays with family or friends. You will enjoy a quiet setting, surrounded by greenery, conducive to relaxation.
Whether you are looking for calm, nature or convivial moments around the swimming pool (shared with the owners) our house is the ideal place to fully enjoy the Gers.
The accommodations are located in the heights of Eauze near the lake and natural site of Le Pouy which offers a peaceful setting for walking, picnicking or simply relaxing by the water.
You will have access from the lake to the cycle path that will take you in about fifteen minutes on foot to the downtown.
Nestled in the heart of the Gers vineyards, Eauze, which was once the ancient capital known as Elusa, invites you with its picturesque streets, half-timbered houses and Gothic cathedral to enjoy a typical Gascon way of life.
Its rich Gallo-Roman past is to be discovered in several remarkable sites:
The Treasure Museum, which houses more than 28000 coins and precious objects discovered in the region, the Domus de la Cicetat, a large Gallo-Roman urban residence, and the nearby Villa de Séviac are all essential stops to understand daily life nearly 2000 years ago.
The traditional market of Eauze, historically, is one of the oldest in the region. Particularly known for its aesthetics and quality, it is the meeting place every Thursday for local and regional producers and remains one of the most frequented markets in the Gers.
Throughout the summer, from 7 p.m. the day ends with a gourmet market where you can taste the products of local producers on the spot or to take away (do not hesitate to arrive early as places are limited). A free concert is also offered.
5 minutes by car you will find the Golf de Guinlet, an 18-hole par 72 course of 5636 m, hilly between pines and oaks in a sumptuous natural setting with a view of the Pyrenees.
1h45 by car you can visit the magnificent cities of Toulouse with its Cité de l'Espace and its pink bricks on one side or Bordeaux with its Hausmanian architecture on the other.
At 1h45 you can also visit the beautiful and wild Atlantic Coast or go hiking in the Pyrenees.
