A Home to Relax and Unwind
There`s a sofa nook by the window in the living room for winding down at the end of the day, and the kitchen is set up for real cooking rather than just reheating. After a climb up Castle Hill, the bathroom has a bath and a heated rail to dry towels.

• Bathroom: One bathroom with a bath, basin and heated towel rail, set under the eaves with a skylight.

Location
Newsome is a quiet residential pocket on the hillside just south of Huddersfield town centre, with green space and a couple of friendly local pubs close at hand. Buses run from St John`s Avenue into town in around 15 to 20 minutes for onward trains to Leeds and Manchester. Here are a few nearby spots:

• The Victoria, 0.4 miles, 8 to 10 min walk, traditional pub with cask ales and food
• The Clarence, 0.5 miles, 10 to 12 min walk, pub with beer garden and pool tables
• Castle Hill and Victoria Tower, 1.5 miles, 30 to 40 min uphill walk or short drive, historic landmark with panoramic views
• Beaumont Park, around 1.5 to 2 miles, 30 to 40 min walk, Victorian park with woodland paths
• Greenhead Park, 1.5 miles, 30 min walk, Victorian park with a lake and play areas
• The Grove, 1.2 miles, 25 to 30 min walk, well-known real ale and craft beer pub

Good to Know Before You Book
The flat is on an upper floor reached by stairs, with no lift. The bathroom sits under the eaves, so the ceiling slopes and headroom is limited on one side. The kitchen is compact and galley-style. Bedrooms and the living area are carpeted, and we ask that shoes come off inside. Check-in is self check-in via a lockbox just outside the apartment door, so you can arrive in your own time. Free parking covers up to 3 cars; anything beyond that is charged per day.

Extra charges
Early check-in and late check-out can be requested after booking, subject to availability, through a secure third-party platform: 1 hour for £25, or 2 hours for £40. Parking beyond 3 cars is charged at £10 per day.

Booking policy
Guests are required to pay a security deposit of £200 prior to their stay. This is fully refundable pending no damages or excess cleaning being required. This will be a pre-authorisation hold on the card taken at least 24 hours before you check in, and is automatically released within 3 days after check out.

Full payment is due 30 days before arrival and will be automatically charged to the card on file. If payment fails, it must be completed within 24 hours or the booking will be cancelled. Early payment is allowed; card fees up to 3 percent are non-refundable if cancelled.

Cancellation policy
Full refund if cancelled 30 or more days before arrival. Fifty percent refund if cancelled fourteen to thirty days before arrival. No refund if cancelled within fourteen days of arrival.
