house, the former drawing office – design centre – for Miller’s shipyard, situated with the
former huge boat shed ( now demolished) directly opposite the house, where boats were
launched and sold all over the world.
These type of double front doors are known as
‘storm doors’ and are actually very effective at keeping the waves out in the winter when the
storms blow!
WIFI is via the box in the kitchen and works throughout the house. To activate, simply scan
your phone on the TAPiTAG box on the kitchen table, which will also transfer this guest
information onto your phone, so if you are out and about you can access the information
much more easily.
Parking – you can park directly outside the house if there are free spaces or anywhere in the
vicinity, but we also have two private parking spaces in the yard behind the house. Simply
drive around the back of the house, down the short road (with the blue and white cottage on
your left) until you enter the yard and see the signs for Planners House private parking.
The living room has an electric wood burner for the colder months, to be activated using the
remote control on top of the fireplace. There is a washing machine
The temperature in the house is set to the appropriate time of year – if you have any issues
please contact Ross. The hot water is on demand and should be sufficient for your needs.
Bed linen is provided, and bathroom towels – let us know if you need more. We provide
‘beach’ towels in the cupboard in the four- poster room for taking to the tidal pool.
