Skogshem – Exclusive vacation home right on the lake in Småland with a raft & boat
Skogshem is situated in a unique location right on Lake Sidlången near Vissefjärda in southern Småland. Surrounded by forests, water, and absolute tranquility, this exclusive vacation home awaits you, perfectly combining the experience of nature, comfort, and a genuine Swedish atmosphere.
As soon as you enter the house, you’ll immediately notice the impressive view of the lake. Large windows in the open-concept living and dining area bring nature right into the house and, together with the fireplace, create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast with a view of the water or spending long evenings with family and friends—the unique location is always the centerpiece here.
The main house can accommodate up to nine people and is ideal for larger families or group trips with friends.
The main house has three bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: Double bed for 2 people
Bedroom 2: Single bed and two bunk beds for a total of 5 people
Bedroom 3: Double bed for 2 people
Next to the main house, there is also a separate cottage that can be used during the summer months. It features two floor mattresses for two additional people. The cottage also features a small kitchen and its own bathroom with a toilet and shower, making it the perfect additional retreat for families or larger groups.
This means Skogshem can accommodate up to eleven people in total.
The high-quality kitchen is fully equipped and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. In addition to a dishwasher, oven, and ample refrigeration space, amenities include a coffee maker, bread maker, and other practical kitchen appliances. A washer and dryer provide added convenience, even during longer stays.
However, the absolute highlight of Skogshem is its exceptional waterfront location. The private dock and the large lakeside terrace are just a few steps from the house. Here you can swim, fish, relax, or simply enjoy the view across the lake.
A rowboat is, of course, available to you during your stay and invites you to take relaxing trips on the lake.
The house also comes with a pedalboat, which is included in the price and is sure to provide plenty of fun on the water, especially for families.
There’s also a new, large raft that can be rented for 200 euros per week. The raft is a real highlight for the whole family and makes a vacation by the lake a very special experience. Whether sunbathing in the middle of the water, enjoying barbecues together, spending relaxing hours on the lake, or going on little adventures with the kids—this is where unforgettable vacation moments are made.
The area around Vissefjärda also offers numerous opportunities for excursions and activities. The coastal towns of Karlskrona and Kalmar are easily accessible and feature restaurants, shopping, and numerous attractions. Families enjoy visiting the moose parks around Kosta and Nybro or spending a day at Astrid Lindgren’s World. The island of Öland is also an excellent destination for a day trip.
Skogshem is a smoke-free home. Dogs are not permitted. Normal electricity usage is already included. Charging electric cars is only possible by prior arrangement and will be billed separately based on usage.

The mandatory final cleaning fee is not included in the rental price and must be paid on-site in Swedish kronor. Bed linens and towels are already included in the final cleaning fee.
