The hosts were lovely, welcoming and very accommodating throughout our stay. They speak Albanian and Greek and only a little English, while unfortunately we speak neither Albanian nor Greek, but we still always managed to communicate (sometimes with a bit of miming!) and get whatever we needed. One particularly useful service was having our clothes washed for €5. We were staying for a week during a heatwave, so being able to have laundry done at the property rather than finding and walking to a laundrette was extremely convenient. We also really enjoyed the large communal terrace on our floor. It was a lovely place to sit, eat some fruit and enjoy the view, and it was extremely useful for drying swimming costumes and beach towels every day. The room was clean and the property offered very good value for money, particularly considering that we stayed for a full week during the high season. Once we discovered the stairs just outside the property, it was easy to walk down to the main road and from there either towards central Himarë and the promenade or in the opposite direction towards additional beaches, bars, restaurants, etc. Our room was one short flight of stairs up from the main property entrance.

The room and furniture are quite dated and there was a noticeable old-fashioned/mothball smell. The main drawback for us was the bed: the mattress was extremely soft and sank considerably when lying on it, while the bed itself was quite worn and noisy whenever we moved during the night. After a week, we found it uncomfortable. The bathroom is also quite small, which felt a little cramped for three people. As we were staying during a heatwave and had to spend several hours indoors during the hottest part of the day, we would also have appreciated a somewhat more comfortable room for relaxing during the daytime. Finally, be aware that the property is uphill. There are stairs nearby providing convenient access to the main road once you are settled in, but reaching the property for the first time with several large suitcases was challenging.

Great placement between the 2 halves of the beach front, hosts were lovely, no English but very generous , bed was comfy balcony is shared
