Zaklin home 1

We visited Chios as a couple and chose Zaklin Home for our first stay on the island — and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. First of all, the cleanliness deserves a special mention. The house feels completely brand new; everything looked as if we were the very first guests to use it. Or perhaps Kristina and her team simply do such an exceptional job that they convinced us it was brand new! :) The house is extremely comfortable and well designed, with a spacious living room, a practical kitchen and dining area, a stylish and very comfortable bedroom, and a lovely bathroom. Our host, Kristina, was also friendly, responsive and always ready to help. We really appreciated the thoughtful little touches. The kitchen had snacks, coffee and tea, while the fridge was stocked with water, milk and juice, along with breakfast essentials such as marmalade, butter and honey. Small details, but they make a real difference. There is also useful information in the living room about places to visit around Chios, which gave us some great ideas for exploring the island. The location is both close to the centre and nicely removed from it. The house sits above Chios Town with a wonderful panoramic view — you can even see the sea while lying in bed! We would definitely recommend having a car. Chios Town is only 6–7 minutes away, and there are two routes to the house: one through the centre and its narrow streets, and another, much easier route from the back via a wider road. We preferred the latter. A small tip: follow this road down to the coast, turn left, and you’ll find a lovely bakery nearby. Zaklin Home and Kristina genuinely made our first visit to Chios even more enjoyable. It was a wonderful place to return to after exploring the island. Thank you, Kristina, for your hospitality. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Zaklin Home, especially if you are travelling by car.
