About this house rental
Inside the cabin, you'll be greeted by modern solutions, thoughtful design choices and high-quality materials. Here, the focus is on the wooden materials, which together with the furnishings give a warm atmosphere to the entire cabin. The large windows with a beautiful view of Gålå provide fantastic light conditions, and you can even cook a good meal at the kitchen island and enjoy the view at the same time. In the evening, curl up in the soft sofa corner and let the warmth of the fireplace embrace you.
In January 2023, the cabin got a lovely sauna. It's wood-fired and has plenty of room for 6-8 people. It takes just under an hour to heat up and doesn't use much wood. You can mix delicious essential oils in snowballs and water on the stones for a real wellness experience. To cool off, you can plunge into the snow or take a cold outdoor shower outside (summertime). With the large window, you can sit and enjoy the view of the mountains and the sunset. This is a real mountain spa!
Gålå offers nature experiences for young and old, such as the summit hike to Valsfjell, skiing from Gålå to Skjerellkampen, and cycling to Lauvåsen. Take the drive to Jotunheimen to experience even higher mountain peaks, and get the opportunity to feel a sense of mastery in completely unknown terrain. You can also cast your line in the hope of catching perch, trout or char in Gålåvatnet. If you come to Gålå in early August, you can catch the fantastic theater performance Peer Gynt at Gålå if you book tickets well in advance.
Ski resorts nearby: approx. 43 min to Kvitfjell ski resort.
