This unique, self-built cabin in Kjøviki on Hamlagrø offers an authentic mountain experience, where handmade furniture and personal touches create a warm atmosphere. Here you can find peace and quiet while enjoying the view of the majestic mountain landscape.
The open-plan living room invites you to spend social evenings around the fireplace, where comfortable furniture and thoughtful details create the perfect setting for quality time together. The handmade furniture gives the cabin a very special character and contributes to the homely atmosphere. You get the authentic cabin atmosphere when there is a fire in the fireplace.
The outdoor area is just as inviting as the interior, with several terraces and a fenced garden where both two-legged and four-legged guests can romp freely. The fire pit is a natural gathering place for evening entertainment.
From the cabin, you have direct access to a network of hiking trails, with Hollsbjørgi and Hamlagrøhornet as popular destinations. In winter, you can explore well-groomed ski trails, while summer offers swimming and mountain hiking. The center of Voss is only 30 minutes away by car, where you will find shops and restaurants.
Please note that it is about a 600-meter walk from the parking lot to the cabin in winter when there is snow, as it is not plowed.

A very, very nice cabin. Furnished with love, very clean and well-maintained. The beds/bunks are fantastic and bring back childhood memories. We could say so many more nice things about it, but there isn’t enough space here. The location is great—there are plenty of short and long hikes right on your doorstep. Voss is a pretty little town, and at just under 20 km away, it’s neither too far nor too close (for those who want some peace and quiet). There are only a few neighbors, and overall it’s very, very quiet—ideal for a relaxing and active vacation. Thanks to the owners for the wonderful days we were able to spend there.
