The Sugar Loaf is a newly built, purpose-designed annex in a family home, offering sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.

The space
The Sugar Loaf is a beautifully designed, self-contained annex finished to the highest specification, offering a luxurious countryside retreat with sweeping rural views.

Located above our family garage and adjoining our home, the space is private, secure, and fully self-contained. We’re a friendly family with three young children and a very well-behaved miniature Labradoodle, so you may hear the occasional happy sound of family life.

Inside, The Sugar Loaf boasts a range of high-end features including underfloor heating throughout, smart home lighting and heating controls, a Juliet balcony, a boiling water tap, and a Hypnos bed and mattress to ensure the most restful sleep. The en-suite bathroom includes a large drench shower, demisting mirror, and built-in Braun toothbrush charger.

The spacious bedroom offers ample storage, a dressing table/desk, and a large window overlooking the field, often visited by Quicks Farm cow and the village beyond. Blackout thermal curtains add warmth and privacy.

The main living area features a modern, fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, oven, microwave, portable hob, Nespresso machine, and boiling water tap. There's also an extendable dining table that comfortably seats four. Large wall mounted streaming only TV.

The sofa converts into a double bed, with bedding available on request. Please note that this area does not have window blinds and can be bright in the morning and the bathroom is through the main bedroom.

Guests have their own private, lockable entrance via a shared internal link to the main house.

In the garage below, we also have a home gym and a multi-games table, which guests are welcome to use. Just let us know in advance, and we’ll provide you with a key.

We offer a small seating area, where you can watch your dog or children play or just enjoy an evening drink. Although it is your own space it is part of the main garden where my children often play.

If you're travelling with children, we’re happy to provide cots, high chairs, baths, and toys, just let us know in advance.

Please note: While the internet is generally reliable, we are in a rural location and it can occasionally be temperamental.

Guest access
The The Sugar Loaf is above the owners garage and will share an entrance with the hosts main house (this entrance is not the main entrance for the hosts house). Through a private guest only door, guests will enjoy their own private accommodation which includes, open plan living, kitchen and dining area, large double room and en-suite.

Please let us know if you wish to have access to the gym before arrival.

Other things to note
Please note: The property is situated on a shared plot with our family home, where we live with our three young children and a small, friendly dog. While The Sugar Loaf enjoys beautiful countryside views, it also overlooks our family garden—so you may hear the sounds of children playing.

Unfortunately, we have had lots of problems with pets going on the sofa and bed so we have had to increase our pet fee to £25 per pet. Please do observe this rule and think about the next guests.
