The Neighborhood
Our little stretch is one of Cincinnati's best-kept secrets: a two-street neighborhood on the north edge of Over-the-Rhine, walled in by 30-foot retaining walls to the south and west and the bluffs of Mt. Bellevue to the north. This natural buffer makes it noticeably quieter and safer than the rest of downtown. Up here, you'll find a real mix: entrepreneurs, artists, designers, retirees, young families, students, all drawn to the view. Expect waves from dog-walkers, morning joggers passing the stoop, and a neighborhood watch that actually watches out.

Living Room
The main living room is anchored by floor-to-ceiling glass sliders and the skyline view beyond — the room is oriented to pull your eye straight out toward downtown Cincinnati. Two deep sofas (one cream corduroy, one cognac leather) sit on warm hardwood floors beside a 75" Smart TV, but on a clear evening the real show is outside: step onto the deck, or just leave the doors open and let the view do the work.

Kitchen
The newly remodeled kitchen was built for both cooking and hanging out. Miele, Thermador, and Fisher & Paykel appliances do the heavy lifting; white shaker cabinets, quartz counters, and a bold black range hood tie the room together. Fire up the Technivorm Moccamaster in the morning — we keep it stocked with locally roasted Urbana Café beans from just down the road in Over-the-Rhine.

Island & Dining
The oversized walnut-toned island seats four, with a deep undermount sink, a microwave drawer, and a Miele dishwasher neatly tucked beneath — practical without sacrificing style. Three black pendant lights hang above, and cognac leather barstools add a warm, inviting touch.
The solid walnut dining table seats six beneath two dramatic black pendants, with a floor-to-ceiling mirror that opens the room beautifully. The whole space flows seamlessly into the living room, making it ideal for cooking, gathering, and lingering long after the meal.

Primary Suite
The primary suite is built to be the retreat of the house. A dramatic black barn-style door slides back to reveal the ensuite; green velvet curtains, a wall-mounted Smart TV, and a king bed with layered linens round it out. The ensuite holds a double walnut vanity, gold fixtures, an LED backlit mirror, and a glass-enclosed rain shower — the kind of bathroom you linger in.

Bedroom 2
A quiet queen bedroom with a natural wood bed frame, linen-curtained windows, and just enough light to wake up slowly. Smart TV, ceiling fan, and real closet space — no stuffing suitcases into corners.

Bedroom 3
Tucked down on the lower level, this king bedroom is the private one — city views out the window and a full bath a few steps away. Great for a couple traveling with another couple, or for a parent who wants the kids a floor above.

Bathrooms
Three full baths, each thoughtfully designed. The primary ensuite features a rain shower, dual sinks, and gold fixtures. The upstairs shared bath offers a glass-enclosed shower with rain showerhead and sleek dark tile. The lower-level bath has a tub/shower combo with a navy vanity and bold black hardware — stylish and functional throughout.

Reading Nook
Take the iron spiral staircase down to a cozy lower-level hideaway. The staircase sits in the spot where the original firehouse pole once dropped the crew to their engines. Two plush bouclé armchairs, a retro pendant light, and a colorful rug make this the perfect place to unwind with a book or a quiet cup of coffee.

Theater Room
Movie night, elevated. A massive 100" TV, immersive LED lighting, and a deep sectional sofa create a true cinema feel. Pop popcorn in the Miele microwave, dim the LEDs, and you're ready to go. No natural light means great viewing any time of day. This space serves as another sleeping area for two with the provided inflatable queen mattress and linens.

Decks
The crown jewel of the home. South-facing and perched 35 feet above Klotter Ave, the private decks look straight across at the Cincinnati skyline, with TQL Stadium to the south, Union Terminal / Museum Center to the west, and on clear days the Kentucky hills rolling out past the Ohio River. You'll want your morning coffee up here. You'll definitely want your evening glass of wine up here.

This home is right for you if…
You're traveling with another couple, a multi-gen family, or a small group of friends
You'd rather actually cook than eat out every night
You'd rather watch fireworks from a private deck than from a sidewalk

Good to know before you book
We don't allow parties
The main living area is on the 2nd floor. Expect 17 stairs to reach the main level from the street.
The lower level (theater room, reading lounge, third bedroom) is reached via the home's cast-iron spiral staircase. It's a charming historic feature, but worth noting if you're traveling with mobility needs or very young kids.
The decks are 35 feet above grade. Children must be accompanied at all times.
Come settle in. Cincinnati looks a lot better from up on the hill.

The Cincinnati Connector, or "streetcar" is easy to catch near Findlay Market. You can drive and pay to park there all day or walk down from the Firehouse. There are several EV charging stations available in the parking lot as well.

Red Brick Firehouse is ideal for groups of friends, couples, or families with older children traveling together. Please note: the upper deck sits 35 feet above grade and the home features an open spiral staircase. We do not recommend the property for families traveling with children under 8.

We don't allow parties at Red Brick Firehouse.

Exceeding maximum occupancy voids the reservation and will incur penalties.
