This three-story house in Apricale has just been carefully renovated by the owner, who is an interior designer. Vaulted ceilings, stone walls, old terracotta floors, and brick arches in the bedroom give each room a unique character. Three small duck figurines in the living room welcome you upon your arrival.
The ground floor features a living room, a study with vaulted ceilings, and a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom equipped with a three-square-meter glass mosaic shower that can be converted into a hammam with color therapy and Bluetooth. On the top floor, the kitchen features a carpenter’s bench that has been converted into a countertop. Taller guests should be aware of the low beams in some areas.
From the kitchen, there is a 180-degree terrace in Trani stone overlooking the valley and the village of Perinaldo. At night, the sky above fills with stars. On the top floor, a bedroom and a living room with an en-suite bathroom provide the feeling of a home away from home.
Apricale is well worth a guided tour to Castello della Lucertola, Grotta della Madonna, and the town square. The host highly recommends it and says it will surprise you. From Apricale, you can take day trips to Dolceacqua, the turquoise pools of Rocchetta Nervina, Triora, Bajardo, and the beaches of Camporosso, just 15 minutes from Apricale.
