Recently renovated throughout to a high standard, the property combines traditional character with contemporary style. Exposed stonework, original chestnut beams and warm Tuscan charm blend seamlessly with a brand-new kitchen, two stylish shower rooms, air conditioning, insect screens, Smart TV and reliable WiFi.
The house sleeps up to 5 guests and is ideal for couples, families or friends seeking a different side of Tuscany away from the crowds.
The accommodation comprises:
• Living room with fireplace, Smart TV and sofabed
• Open plan to fully equipped new kitchen with all modern appliances
• 2 bedrooms
• 2 contemporary shower rooms
• Air conditioning

One bedroom is furnished with a double bed, whilst the second can be arranged as either a double or twin room and also includes an additional single bed.
Outside, the property enjoys truly spectacular mountain views stretching across the dramatic Garfagnana landscape. Whether enjoying breakfast in the sunshine, an afternoon reading in the garden or a glass of wine at sunset, the scenery provides a stunning backdrop throughout the day. The garden is lit at night for magical relaxation.
A covered gazebo creates the perfect setting for al fresco dining whilst taking in the panorama, and there is also a separate relaxing space to the side of the garden and a BBQ
There is also a charming panoramic plunge pool (2m x 3m, depth 60cm). Designed for relaxation rather than swimming, it is the perfect place to cool off on warm summer days whilst admiring the extraordinary views and peaceful surroundings. The experience of relaxing in water, taking in this view is difficult to surpass.
The property is located in the traditional hilltop village of Borsigliana, where visitors can enjoy a genuine taste of rural Italian life. Life here moves at a slower pace, offering an escape from busy modern living and an opportunity to discover a side of Tuscany that many visitors never experience.
Whilst the village itself has no shops or restaurants, a small village just 5 minutes away by car offers a couple of bars and an excellent local alimentari selling regional produce. On Sundays they also prepare delicious local dishes. There are also a couple of restaurants nearby.
A larger village approximately 10 minutes away provides a restaurant, pizzerias, bars, bakery, butcher, pastry shop also making fresh pasta dishes to take away, train station, large village swimming pool and a weekly Tuesday market.
The surrounding mountains offer endless opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling and exploring beautiful medieval villages, hidden valleys and spectacular scenery.
Parking is available beneath the house. Access is a little narrow, and some guests may prefer to unload at the property and then use the village car park approximately 100 metres away for the remainder of their stay. That said the owners car is large and they have no problem!
