About this house rental
“Imako Nasu-ri-so” is an ongoing residential art project created through the renovation of a former guesthouse—built approximately 100 years ago—located in Aoki Village, Nagano Prefecture.“Creators” from diverse fields—including architects, designers, and contemporary artists—gather here to renew the space by bringing their unique perspectives and sensibilities to the project.
Inside the building, where old beams and pillars, plaster walls, and modern materials and artworks coexist, the space feels somewhat incongruous yet creates a mysterious harmony.
During your stay, you can wander through the building, experiencing the textures of the artworks and materials, gazing at the ever-changing seasonal scenery, and enjoying a leisurely pace.
At dusk, gather around a campfire and savor locally sourced game meat.
At night, warm up in the tent sauna and look up to see a sky filled with stars.
This is not a finished inn.It is a place in the midst of change, where the scenery shifts slightly with each visit. We carry forward the time that has passed up to today while creating the time that begins tomorrow. Being able to experience this entire process is what makes a stay at Imayukari Nasu-risō truly unique.
Amenities at A one-bedroom inn where you can stay in a space away from the city and stay in art.
