About this cabin rental
The Acacia House takes its name from the iconic acacia tree, whose graceful shape stretches across the African sky like something both ancient and impossibly elegant. For anyone who has spent time there, the acacia becomes more than a tree. It becomes part of the feeling of the place — the golden light, the open horizon, the quiet, and the romance of a landscape that feels at once wild and timeless.
The first time the owner went to Africa, it was the elephants that called him there. But once he arrived, he fell in love with everything — the light, the land, the wildlife, the stillness, and the way the acacia trees seemed to stand like sentinels over it all. That sense of wonder became part of him, and The Acacia House was created to carry a little of that spirit into the Texas Hill Country.
Built by hand and personally operated by the owner for more than 30 years, these cabins have welcomed guests returning for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, engagements, and quiet escapes meant for two. The Acacia House is made for exactly that sort of stay — romantic, peaceful, and touched by the feeling of a faraway place.
Inside, the cabin reflects the love for Africa through photography and details inspired by the landscapes and wildlife that left such a lasting mark. Outside, the Hill Country offers its own kind of magic: cedar and oak, wide skies, and evenings that seem to ask nothing of you but that you stay a little longer.
The Acacia House is a place for slowing down, for reconnecting, and for sharing the kind of beauty that lingers.
