Relax in out saltwater heated pool (smallish). Open floor plan for entertaining in kitchen/ living area. Foosball and game table in garage for rainy days. Smart TVs. Bedroom with sofa bed doubles as office for calls or work-time, an owner favorite.
Short walk to the best beach in the area. It is flat, wide and has sand that usually stays hard. Just 1 mile to boat ramp on Matanzas at Frank Butler Park. Bring your jet skiis! Lots of live music and good restaurants within 15 min drive. 15 min to downtown St Augustine with good traffic. One spot available in garage for parking and 3 spots in driveway or 4 if you squeeze.
Note: There are 2 exterior cameras at the property. One camera is above the garage and points to the driveway. The other camera is on the eaves of the house and points at the front yard area.
Road noise from A1A has been mitigated by acoustic curtains facing the road, trees, pool waterfall and speaker system. Bedroom closest to road has triple pain windows and heavy storm sliding door that minimizes any road noise.
The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought.
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheater and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself!
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
The pool heater thermostat is set to a temperature between 78 and 85 degrees F, depending on the time of the year. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated.
Quiet hours are 10 pm - 9 am. We don't mind if you are in the pool and backyard during quiet hours, we kindly request that our guests be respectful of the neighbors. The neighbors may call the county and complain if guests are being noisy past 10 pm (county noise ordinance). We rarely get complaints from the neighbors, but if we do, we want to be able to tell our guests that there are designated quiet hours.
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.
