Le 41 Préfecture - Duplex

The appartment is very modern (renovated) and well equipped. Location is fantastic: only 100m walk from the Eglise de Notre Dame and 200m from Le Palais des Ducs. It's on the second floor of an older building, behind a court yard, so very quiet. The key can be found in a keybox, we had no face to face contact with the owner. Comfortable, except for the fact that there is no air conditioning, which pretty much ruined the experience for us (see negative comments).

The duplex is entirely under a badly insulated rooftop. Some 5 electric heaters are provided (winter is cold apparently), but there is no airco, only two tower fans - they obviously do not cool the air. We were there in mid july, so full summer, and it was unbearably hot. We took the matresses to the lower floor and placed the tower fans in the open windows, to no avail, sleeping was difficult. Second day we covered the windows with aluminum foil. Alas, the second night was even more dramatic. After that second night we decided to cut our stay short, and we moved on. This duplex needs a (mobile) airco otherwise it will be very uncomfortable in summer. Please keep this in mind when booking for the summer months.
