It had everything needed- a small kitchen, living room area, decent size bedroom. The bed was pretty comfortable. The woman who owns the apartment was very polite and kind, as was her sweet and lovely neighbour who helped me out when I got locked out of the bedroom (no extra key so another neighbour was called on to help).

The owner tries to put love into her home, and was kind in her communications. At the end of the day there were many issues. I had originally booked two nights and after arrival requested to cancel the second night, but was unable to do so. In my opinion, it is overpriced for what it is. The location is NOT ' beachfront' as advertised '. Close by, down the block, but not beachfront. Instead of listening to waves I was awoken in the middle of the night by partiers across the street. The place is very dark, and there is not much light. I did mention this to the owner along with the other issues and she said that some people prefer lower/ warmer lighting. Lightbulbs were burnt out. The counter height is very low, so if you are tall, it is a bit awkward. Fair enough that was how they were built. I would say it felt more 'dated' than 'historic'. When it rained the ceiling leaked in at least 2 places (one over and onto the couch) and the 2nd near the kitchen table. There was visible black marks on the ceiling. Repairs were obviously needed. I did not mention this to anyone as I was leaving that day, but I did find a used condom wrapper on top of the refrigerator- not mine:( I was locked out of the bedroom, and was unable to receive a response from the owner for approx 8 hours, during which time I could not access my belongings. I heard someone downstairs and called out- her lovely neighbor came up to assist me. Apparently the owner had notified her neighbour but did not let me know that she was going to help me. I was left wondering/ worrying that I would end up sleeping on the couch. I would not stay there again, and feel that it was way overpriced for what it is. Again, the owner was polite and kind in her communications overall, but I don't feel she responded to my concerns adequately, and I wasn't about to pay for another hotel somewhere else as she would not cancel my second night stay due to booking rules.
