Sylvie and her two daughters spent two years restoring this historic townhouse and it is absolutely stunning, balancing its beautifully preserved original features with rich, earthy colours and elements of contemporary design. The house is light and airy with lofty proportions, as well as being beautifully styled and incredibly comfortable. When we arrived, our host had left us fresh flowers and a jug of herbs from her garden. The house is based in the medieval centre of St Anthonin, a stone's throw from the main square. Its large shuttered windows overlook the bustling market that fills the town centre on Sundays selling local produce and handicrafts. There's plenty to do in town, but it's also very easy to get down to the river for canoeing and paddle boarding or to the surrounding hills/cliffs for climbing and walking. The house also has a vast TV and plenty of boardgames. We will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend this place.
