Blacktail also offers the free North Shore Nordic Ski Trails area, with over 15 miles of groomed terrain boasting spectacular views of Flathead Lake from above 5,000 feet. Snowshoeing is also available on these trails or various un-groomed trails around the area. With Whitefish Mountain just a 40-mile drive away, you have another fantastic option for skiing, depending on which hill is getting the freshest snow.
