Escape to peace and natural beauty at Old Kirk Farm. Our comfortable farmhouse will be all yours to enjoy. Listen to the barred owls call at night. Keep an eye out for great blue herons and waterfowl on our pond. Walk in a meadow and take in the amazing fall colors. Gaze at the stars. Go snowshoeing from the front door. Or just relax!
World class summer theater can be enjoyed in Weston, a 25 minute drive from the house, and the nearby Vermont Country Store will tempt you with its clothing, Vermont cheese and just about anything you can imagine. For skiers, Okemo is about 25 minutes from Old Kirk Farm. And for horse lovers - riders and spectators - Green Mountain Horse Association, which hosts equestrian competitions and organized trail rides, is roughly a half hour away in South Woodstock.
The master bedroom has two twin beds, a walk-out patio and an en suite bathroom with a heated floor, claw foot tub and separate shower. On the second floor, one bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the other bedroom has two twin beds. There is a full, second floor bathroom. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner. In addition, the den has a full-size sofa bed. Off of the mud room, you will find a large capacity Samsung washer and dryer, as well as a half bath.
Cooking is a joy in the fully equipped, vaulted-ceiling kitchen, which has a double wall oven and large island. From the kitchen, you can view the pond, field and hummingbird feeder. The back door from the kitchen opens onto the garden patio equipped with comfortable outdoor furniture and a gas grill. On the screened porch, which overlooks the pond, you can relax with coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening.
