Thoughtfully furnished with comfort and calm in mind, this retreat is the perfect base for seaside walks, slow mornings and effortless escapes on the North Norfolk coast.
Above all Salt Air Retreat is our second home. Having become disabled in 2025we struggled to find places to stay that were wheelchair accessible and so decided to buy and renovate somewhere we would like to go on holidayso that I could access in my wheelchair. We hope you love it as much as we do.
Once parked in either our designated parking space or the disabled parking space if required, the main entrance is just a minute away. A key code and key safe enable simple self check in.
There’s a small porch area for coats etc.
On the right there is the main guest bedroom with a king size bed, two bedside cabinets, a tv, a full length mirror and hanging space for your clothes. There is ample space for anyone in a wheelchair to access this space.
The next room along can sleep up to three on request, with 2/3 beds, 2 bedside cabinets, a mirror and hanging space.
The bathroom has been designed with both luxury and accessibility in mind. There are two grab rails and a fold down shower seat for the shower and shampoo, conditioner and body was in case you haven’t brought any with you. The toilet is raised and has a grab rails. Towels are stored beside the radiator to ensure they’re warm for you.
Ahead is the main open plan living space with a huge ‘cuddle chair’ and 3/4 seater sofa, nest of tables and basket with throws. A smaller sofa under the bay window is great for watching the world go by or extra seating for the table if required.A 43” smart tv is positioned on the wall.
Dining table has 4 chairs with the small sofa providing the 5th seat if required.
The kitchen is equipped with all your basic cooking needs and a dishwasher.
Whilst set on a quiet residential street Salt AIr Retreat is only 150 m away from Cromer promenade and beach, with the pier only 8 minute walk away.
The train station is a 5 min walk.The coastal hopper can be caught 5 mins away and is an excellent bus service which makes travel along the Norfolk coast very accessible.
Cromer has an abundance of cafes, restaurants and pubs all of which are within walking distance. Happy to pass on recommendations. There are two famous Fish and Chip shops and other takeaways.
The promenade is fully accessible for wheelchair user and there are a number of wheelchair accessible slopes onto the beach.
