The Neighborhood:
The area:
Nestled in the serene southern part of Corfu, the traditional village of Argyrades offers a charming blend of authentic Greek culture and natural beauty. This peaceful hillside village is known for its narrow, cobblestone alleys, pastel-colored houses, and warm local hospitality, all of which reflect Corfu’s unique Venetian influence. Argyrades is ideally positioned near the lush Korission Lagoon and several pristine beaches such as Gardenos, Issos, and Marathias, which are perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or relaxing with seaside tavernas offering fresh local cuisine. Visitors can explore nearby olive groves, walk through untouched nature trails, or immerse themselves in the village’s slow-paced rhythm and scenic views. Public transport is accessible via regional buses that connect Argyrades with Corfu Town and other parts of the island. The nearest airport is Corfu International Airport (Ioannis Kapodistrias), approximately 30 km north, while the island’s main port—also in Corfu Town—offers ferry connections to mainland Greece and neighboring islands. This location is perfect for travelers seeking a balance between beachside leisure and local immersion.
Other Things to Note:
Dear guest,
We hope you are looking forward to your upcoming stay with us!
We would like to inform you about an important regulation mandated by the Greek government. From April to October, all guests are required by law to pay an Environmental Fee. This fee cannot be included in the booking price and must be collected separately before arrival, as stipulated by the Greek authorities.
The fee is:
€8 per night for apartments
€15 per night for villas
Please note:
This amount is not a charge from us, and we do not profit from it in any way.
Once we collect this fee, we pay it in full directly to the government as a tax.
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to waive, reduce, or absorb this fee, no matter the circumstances.
Payment is required before check-in, as per Greek law.
We completely understand this might be frustrating, and we sincerely wish we could make it easier for you. However, we are legally obligated to comply, and without this payment, check-in is not permitted.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Should you have any questions or need assistance with the payment process, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Warm regards.
