Estate beneath Carcassonne's Medieval Citadel

You'll discover two independent holiday homes on a private estate beneath Carcassonne's Medieval Citadel. Renovated in 2015, the properties accommodate up to 22 guests with air-conditioning and walk-in showers. Bronze sculptures dot the mature gardens, created by Jim, a master sculptor.



The larger home offers six bedrooms and three bathrooms; the smaller has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each house features a fully equipped kitchen, separate dining and living areas, and bedrooms that can be arranged as king-size doubles or twins. Indoor and outdoor dining tables seat up to 20 guests.



The enclosed estate is accessed through a secure, coded gate, with parking for up to ten vehicles. Mature trees shade the grounds, where you'll find a private swimming pool, barbecue area, laundry room, boules pitch, and children's play equipment. The garden leads directly to the pool and outdoor dining spaces.



Walk to restaurants and bars from your doorstep, or explore the vineyards and River Aude on foot. Views stretch across the Pyrenees and Black Mountains. The modern town centre, Canal du Midi, and railway station are just across the river. Day trips reach the coast, Pyrenean ski stations, and Cathar Châteaux within 45 minutes.
