Lake lure is open for non-motorized boating (kayaking, paddle boarding, canoe, swimming)!
The beautiful Chimney Rock State Park and mountain trails are open, and the quaint, riverside town of Chimney Rock is welcoming visitors to its many shops and restaurants.
NATURE NOTE:
Being surrounded by the woods means you’re truly one with nature! While we do have regular pest control, you may still encounter a few adventurous insects.
Shipping to the house is not guaranteed, since the home is not a primary residence, mail is forwarded.
We try to accommodate early check in’s for $50 per hour and can confirm only on the day of check in. Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate late check outs. Unapproved early check-in or late check-out will result in a $100 fee.
December-March has the potential to bring snow and ice, please consider your vehicle capability when booking during this time.

We had a very nice, relaxing time in Lake Lure. The house was well appointed, and the location was very good. The view from the deck was great, until it got cold outside 😊. We enjoyed the house very much and since my wife is in a wheelchair, the open floor plan was well suited. Just one observation, and it is not a sticking point with us, but the seat in the master bathroom shower was installed a little low. That is more of a general observation, but it wouldn’t stop us from renting the house again. Our grandkids enjoyed spending time in the hot tube! We visited the town and went over to Chimney Rock to spend a couple hours there also. We had a nice lunch at the River Watch Bar & Grill while there. The recovery has been amazing in both towns even though there is still a lot left to do. Over all the week was great and we will probably be back.

Enjoyed our short trip to the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area. Location was perfect and only 10 minutes from parks/trails. Property was very clean with many thoughtful guest amenities to make the stay comfortable and convenient. We really appreciated the many different spaces to relax and enjoy the mountain vibe. Communication was also excellent. One note is to try not to be startled by the falling acorns on the roof from the two large oak trees next to the home. Would definitely recommend this property.

Our family loved our long weekend here. The house is spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed and more. We loved starting the day with coffee on the screened porch, the views were amazing. The quick drive into town and local parks and hiking trails was so easy based on the convenient location. The afternoons and evenings were spent enjoying quiet time in one of the many cozy spots throughout the house, playing games in the garage and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy meals together around the large dining table, also perfect for playing card and board games. It was a lovely stay and we hope to be back soon!
