About this apartment rental

If you’d like to enjoy a little getaway in a green, relaxing setting; and want to stay on the outskirts of town but still close to the center, with good access to nearby larger cities and tourist attractions, please feel free to come stay with us.
The apartment is simply but comfortably furnished.
We don’t offer luxury, but we do offer hospitality that comes from the heart.
Your four-legged friend is also welcome, so you can enjoy a wonderful vacation together.
Our sunny, fully furnished 69 m² guest apartment in our two-family home—with a separate entrance—has direct access to the garden and a small terrace.
It is located on the outskirts of Kulmbach, right off the B 85 exit, nestled among forests and rolling hills in the Mainauen recreational area with a direct view of Plassenburg Castle.
A shopping center, bus stop, train station, and the historic old town with its half-timbered houses and narrow alleys are all just a few minutes away.
A swimming lake, an outdoor pool, and forest trails with a fitness trail are all in the immediate vicinity.
Hiking, biking, and excursions to the Fichtelgebirge, the Franconian Forest, Franconian Switzerland, or the festival city of Bayreuth are all great options.
Other nearby cities such as Coburg, Kronach, and Bamberg are also worth visiting. The latter is also known as “Little Venice.”
We also have a wide variety of museums, attractions, and guided tours to offer.

In our neighborhood of Ziegelhütten, there is a small local butcher shop, a bakery, a self-service gas station, Sparkasse ATMs, and a Protestant church. Kulmbach Hospital is just a few minutes’ drive away, and there’s a dentist right across the street from us.

storage space for
bicycles you bring with you.
Storage room with a vacuum cleaner, cleaning supplies,
a clothes rack, an ironing board, and an iron.
Living room with a pull-out sofa bed,
a desk, a TV, and a radio with a CD player.
Kitchen and dining area for 2 people with
refrigerator (including freezer), microwave,
stovetop, cooking utensils, dish towels,
dishes, glasses, silverware, electric kettle,
egg cooker, toaster, mini-oven, and 2 different coffee makers.
No dishwasher!
1 bedroom with a 160x200 cm double bed,
closet, large mirror, coat rack.
Bathroom with a window for ventilation, bathtub with
shower head, hair dryer, washing machine.
Night storage heater (please be sure to follow the operating instructions!)
Grandma’s wood-burning stove, which crackles cozily on
cool days to provide extra warmth and reduce heating costs (Firewood available upon request)
Other:
Non-smoking apartment (smoking permitted outdoors in the “smoking area”).
Self-catering; no breakfast provided.
Pets (max. 3 dogs or cats) allowed.
Free outdoor parking space on the property.
Free Wi-Fi access.
Bed linens, towels, and dish towels are
provided free of charge up to a certain quantity, but must be washed and ironed by the guest as needed.
Utility costs:
The rent includes a flat-rate charge for utility costs (electricity for night storage heating, household electricity, water, hot water, a portion of garbage collection and street cleaning, as well as winter maintenance and yard care, etc.)
For long-term rentals exceeding 4 weeks, we reserve the right to bill you for utility costs exceeding 500 euros (based on meter readings).
Since we have a quiet neighborhood, we would like to remind you that loud activities are not permitted.
We also ask that you observe the legally mandated quiet hours.
