This vacation apartment on the Rennsteig Trail is idyllically situated on a quiet hillside at the edge of the forest in Ruhla —perfect for anyone who wants to explore the Thuringian Forest on foot or by bike. This compact apartment, accommodating 2 to 5 people, is located on the first floor of a separate building behind the owners’ home—offering plenty of privacy and mountain views.
Personalized service included
In the morning, we’ll be happy to serve you a delicious, hearty breakfast. Alternatively, you can take advantage of our bread roll or sack lunch service. For hikers, we offer luggage transfer and a shuttle to the Rennsteig upon request. A laundry service is also available.

The bathroom is located on the first floor of the vacation apartment, right by the entrance. It is equipped with a shower, toilet, sink, and a window that provides natural light and good ventilation. A hair dryer is also available—ideal for a comfortable start to the day.
A staircase leads you to the upper floor, where the living, sleeping, and dining areas, as well as the kitchen, are located.
The bright living room opens onto the kitchen and invites you to relax. The cozy couch can be converted into a sleeping area for up to 2 people in just a few simple steps—ideal for families or small groups. A TV, books, and games provide entertainment even on quiet evenings.
In the separate bedroom, you’ll find a comfortable double bed (box spring) and an additional single bed—perfect for couples, children, or friends. Thanks to the quiet location, you can enjoy a restful night’s sleep here and recharge your energy for the next day of your vacation.
The open-concept kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, dishes, and kitchen utensils. A small dining area provides space for shared meals.
