Prime Location: The Cob cycle track and Anglesey Coastal Path are right outside your door, perfect for walking, cycling, and wildlife watching.

Arrival Essentials: As this is a self-catering property, we include an Arrival Essentials pack to help you settle in on your first day, just enough to get you started. You'll need to bring, or purchase additional supplies for the rest of your stay.
Kite Cottage is a recently refurbished two-bedroom terraced property set in the peaceful village of Malltraeth, just a short stroll from the estuary and the famous Cob cycle track into Newborough. It’s the perfect base for couples or small families looking for a cosy adventure break, whether you're walking, cycling, or simply curling up by the fire.
Inside, the cottage is snug and welcoming. The lounge/diner features a comfy sofa, a wood-burning stove for chilly evenings, and a window seat ideal for slow mornings with a cuppa and a good book. There’s a dining table for planning your day’s adventures, plus blankets tucked away in trunks and a selection of books and games for relaxed nights in.
The ground-floor bathroom includes a bath and separate walk-in shower, with underfloor heating and a heated towel rail for added comfort. Upstairs, you’ll find one double bedroom and one twin, a simple, cosy setup for couples or young families.
The kitchen is well-equipped for easy meals and opens out to an enclosed patio, perfect for morning coffees, and safe playtime. Guests can park directly outside the cottage, with additional spaces available nearby.
Outside, the enclosed patio is a great spot for outdoor meals and relaxed evenings. There’s a charcoal BBQ for guests to use, with a chimney starter to make lighting it simple. Next to the BBQ is a fire pit, perfect for winding down after a day out. The patio is fully enclosed, allowing children and dogs to potter around while you relax.

The Neighborhood:
Malltraeth (said: MAHL-traith) is for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists, and another brilliant dog-friendly spot on the island. It's also a paradise for bird watchers, and its birdlife is popular enough to have landed on TV more than once.
The Cob, a mile-long path along the old estuary wall, is home to Shelducks and once painted obsessively by wildlife artist Charles Tunnicliffe. Head to Llyn Parc Mawr for red squirrels or cycle the trails through neighbouring Newborough Forest. Ten minutes further gets you to Newborough beach, one of the longest, sandiest, most beautiful beaches in the UK.
Refuel at the Red Squirrel Café, it does the best hot chocolate around, and return to the Joiners Arms in Malltraeth for real ales and a great atmosphere.
Other Things to Note:

The property is immaculate and very well stocked with everything you may need.
Perfect for us with our toddler and our dog.
Enclosed garden let us relax with the dog outside, and a cupboard of games kept our child occupied when we were home.
Right on the coast path for walks, the cycle path for rides and 5mins from Newborough or Aberffraw for beautiful beaches.
The village has a pub and a chippy and is beautiful and quaint.
We will definitely return to Malltraeth and kite cottage. Had a fantastic time.

I have just returned home from a fabulous site in Kit Cottage. It seems this cottage is a new addition to the cottage company, and a great addition.
It was so great with the dogs to join the coast path straight outside of the door, and so many days I didn't use the car.
The cottage had everything I needed, and the kitchenware, and appliances were top quality. It was a pleasure cooking there in the evening. The cottage was nice and warm, and cosy. The bed was very comfortable, and it was just an easy place to spend time. I will definitely return.
It was my second trip to Anglesey, and there is still so much to see and do. The quietness of the Island is what makes is so appealing, although I am sure it is different in the summer months.

Lovely weekend spent with friends in a cosy cottage. Tastefully furnished with the a log burner in the sitting room the cottage was well equipped and suitable for four adults. Kite cottage provides easy access onto the Anglesey coastal path and walks to Newborough and Aberffraw. Would highly recommend for those wanting a well presented property in a quiet location with easy access to the outdoors.
