Comfortable beach villa, located directly by the sea, tropical garden

Newly built villa, right on the beach by the Indian Ocean, nestled in a tropical garden, in a quiet cove away from mass tourism. A unique vacation experience. The ocean is visible, and the sound of the waves can be heard. Modern and comfortable. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a terrace with an ocean view. Built in 2025, the house is spacious and well-ventilated thanks to its high ceilings. It stands on an elevated foundation and offers a view of the Indian Ocean through the trees. The solid stone house was built with local materials (thatched roof, furniture made from sustainable hardwood, and natural stone floors).

The house (approx. 100 m²) has 2 bedrooms (each with a double bed measuring 1.63 x 1.95 m), 2 bathrooms, a separate kitchen, and a terrace.

What do we offer? Our property is spacious, with modern amenities and stylish furnishings. The beach is 50 m from the house. Adults and children can swim safely.

Travel via Dar es Salaam (DSM), Zanzibar/Kilimanjaro, or Mombasa, then take a connecting flight to Pangani Machado with Auric or Coastal Air, or travel by taxi through the beautiful Saadani Game Park. Travel is also possible via Nungwi/Zanzibar by speedboat.

Why visit Ushongo, Tanzania?: Tanzania is an excellent alternative to Kenya’s south coast and Zanzibar: no mass tourism (no large hotels, no package tour groups), there are only a few private homes, and like ours, they’re “front-row” with direct beach access; largely unspoiled beaches; no prostitution; and no harassment from vendors. Unlike many beaches in Zanzibar, you and your children can safely swim in the ocean year-round in Ushongo, where the surf is gentle.

Guest Access
Just walk down the path from the house and you’re right at the water’s edge: Swimming is possible year-round at both high and low tide—ideal for children. Endless beach walks, snorkeling/diving in the nearby marine reserve (Maziwe Island)

Ushongo offers great opportunities for windsurfing, sailing, kitesurfing, and diving. A school and rental shop are within walking distance. However, since tourism has not yet taken off, very few water sports enthusiasts can be seen on the water.
