Apartment in Barcelona

About this apartment rental
The apartment is located in a historic building typical of Barcelona’s old town and retains that very character. It is neither a modern building nor a new construction. The interior of the apartment, however, was carefully renovated under the guidance of an architect, with the aim of preserving its character and making functional and pleasant use of the available space.
It features a built-in kitchen, a living area, a bedroom, and all the necessary amenities to comfortably enjoy your stay, whether for short or extended periods.
Before booking, it is important to keep in mind some characteristics of the apartment and the building:
The apartment is located on an upper floor without an elevator.
The building’s staircase is narrow and quite steep, as is common in many older buildings in the Born neighborhood, so it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility or those carrying very heavy luggage.
The common areas are typical of an old, simple building, and you should not expect the finishes or appearance of a modern or recently renovated building.
Due to the nature of a historic building and the narrow streets of the Born neighborhood, natural light is more limited than in a modern home with large outdoor spaces.
Due to the building’s original characteristics, the ceilings are relatively low in some areas of the apartment. People of particularly tall stature should take this into account before booking.
The apartment has air conditioning, but not a centralized climate control system for the entire unit. On the hottest days of summer, Barcelona can be hot and humid.
As this is a historic, central, and very lively area, the urban environment may present the usual drawbacks of old city centers in large cities.
On the other hand, its location is hard to beat. Estació de França is very close by, and the beaches of Barceloneta are a pleasant walk away. The apartment also has excellent public transportation connections—metro, buses, and trains—right nearby, although much of the historic center can be easily explored on foot.
El Born, the Gothic Quarter, Parc de la Ciutadella, Port Vell, and numerous iconic Barcelona landmarks are all within walking distance.
In short, this is an opportunity to stay in a carefully renovated apartment within an authentic historic building in the Old Town, in one of the most privileged locations for experiencing Barcelona from the inside.
We’re looking for guests who appreciate precisely these qualities and who prefer location, authenticity, and neighborhood life—along with a well-maintained and comfortable interior—over the amenities typically found in a contemporary building.
