The Space:
Welcome to The Tucker House, a beautiful vacation rental in the heart of Provincetown. This elegant four-bedroom home occupies the front section of the former Tucker Inn, dating to around 1850, and has recently been completely renovated. Historic character blends seamlessly with modern design, from the original stained glass entry doors and staircase to the coffered ceilings, wide plank hardwood floors, recessed lighting, large Andersen windows, and inviting gas fireplace. Bright and open, it offers a refined retreat for guests who want comfort, style, and the ability to walk to all that Ptown has to offer.
The main level is the perfect space for everyone to gather, with an open living room, dining area, and kitchen designed for relaxed vacation living. The living room is flooded with natural light and feels spacious with 13 foot ceilings, while the dining area is tucked next to a bay window and has a round farmhouse table with seating for eight. The kitchen is beautifully appointed with GE Cafe appliances, Holiday Kitchens cabinetry, marble countertops, a pantry closet, and a sliding glass door that opens to the fenced patio. Off the main living area, you’ll also find a bedroom with an ensuite bath and a separate half bath.
Upstairs, the home continues with three cozy bedrooms, three beautiful bathrooms, and thoughtful amenities designed to make your stay even more comfortable. Each bedroom feels private and polished, with care put into every detail, and the upstairs hallway includes a sunny window overlooking Center Street along with a laundry room featuring a large washer and dryer and plenty of shelving. Central heat and air conditioning add comfort in every season.
From here, you can easily enjoy the best of Provincetown, including Commercial Street’s shops, galleries, restaurants, and nightlife, along with local favorites like the Provincetown Library, Pilgrim Monument, MacMillan Pier, and whale watch tours. This property was recently been renovated and this is its first season on the rental market. I believe we were the second group to occupy. It's beautifully decorated and includes a stunning collection of original art. I have been coming to P'town for 40 years and this is the best location I have ever enjoyed, right next to the library in the center of town. My only suggestion is a rental guide in the home to answer questions about check-out expectations, where to put the trash. etc. If this is available in the future, it would definitely be my first choice.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this property. The house is beautiful, and the photos honestly don't do it justice. It's even more impressive in person. The home was clean, well maintained, and in an amazing location that made it easy to enjoy everything Provincetown has to offer.The only minor issues were that there was initially only one towel per bedroom and one of the toilets wasn't flushing properly. We ended up purchasing additional towels and left them at the property, so future guests shouldn't have the same towel issue. We also found it difficult to reach the property management team when we needed assistance with the toilet.Overall, the quality of the home far outweighed these inconveniences. It's a beautiful property in a fantastic location, and we had a great experience staying here.
