Tucked into the quiet pines of northern Vermont, this lakefront cottage on Lake Carmi is the kind of place that makes you forget the rest of the world exists. Peaceful, serene, and so private — no one will know. No crowds, no spotlight. Just the water, the trees, and everything you've been meaning to slow down for. You'd like to relax here with someone, for once. And you will.
Spend your days drifting across the glassy lake by canoe or casting a line as the mist lifts off the water. Come evening, pull up an Adirondack chair, light a fire, and watch the stars appear one by one until the whole sky opens up above you. And at night? You might just hear it — that long, haunting wail echoing off the water. (Never heard this sound before? Yes, it's scary, but you're brave.) It's a loon! A "stupid Canadian wolf bird" (yes, we're located just a few miles from the Canadian border) — but honestly, it's one of the most magical sounds you'll ever hear.
