About this apartment rental
The completely renovated Villa Botanica vacation rental is located in a historic Gründerzeit-style townhouse. With 85 square meters of living space in a cozy country-style design, a private, sunny south-facing terrace with comfortable lounge furniture, and a fully equipped kitchen, the apartment welcomes your guests and guarantees plenty of space for a wonderful stay.
The romantic old town is a leisurely 10-minute walk away, as are the train station, the swimming pool, and the Palatinate Forest, which begins almost right on our doorstep. And there are many more exciting options for a wonderful vacation: Hambach Castle, Wolfsburg, the Weinbiet region, Klausenthal, and many other destinations are accessible via beautiful hiking trails. Just step out the front door and start walking or biking..... And ......aside from trips to Speyer or Heidelberg, France would of course be another option. Alsace isn’t far away and beckons with many culinary delights. But there’s also a ride on the historic steam locomotive, affectionately called the “Kuckucksbähnel,” full of the charm of days gone by, which takes you through the Elmstein Valley—complete with an original conductor, engineer, and a bar car, organized by the Railroad Museum. . The lantern ride beneath the Rietburg in Rhodt via the chairlift is also worth the trip, or… or… so much more… Just ask, and we’ll give you the tips you need! We’re also happy to recommend interesting shopping trips to stores and locations that are well worth visiting—simply because they’re unique and offer more than just a feast for the eyes.
And the PfalzCard, our welcome gift for you, is a bouquet of many free services, such as access to the entire VRN transit network (all the way to Alsace), 2 fantastic thermal spas, swimming pools, movie and museum visits, golf courses and city tours, zoos, cool wine testings, and much more—a total of 130 recreational activities that you can enjoy for free! You can start booking services with the card as early as one week before your vacation begins, so they’ll be available to you during your stay. This means you can look forward to wonderful experiences for young and old alike.
Villa Botanica:
The apartment, which will be completely renovated and refurnished by early 2026, is looking forward to welcoming its first guests: It features two bedrooms, each equipped with a high-quality box spring bed and spacious closets. Bed linens, including two different pillows per person, as well as an ironing board and iron, are provided.
The new country-style bathroom features a large, walk-in shower and a large sink. You’ll find plenty of towels, as well as bathrobes. Toiletries such as cotton pads, tissues, shower gel, and body wash are provided. A makeup mirror and hair dryer are, of course, provided.
A separate toilet is available.
In the living room, you’ll find high-quality, comfortable country-style upholstered furniture, with plenty of pillows and blankets available for the cooler months. There’s also a small wall unit with a large flat-screen TV, books, and a selection of games.
The fully equipped, high-quality built-in kitchen offers not only all modern appliances but also an ample supply of fine tableware and cutlery.
Glasses. also in ample supply, are waiting for you in the display cabinet in the dining room. The dining room seats up to 6 people (a high chair is available)—from the dining room, you have direct access to the sun terrace with a comfortable lounge area, an awning, and a modern gas grill (planche plate). It feels a little bit like Provence....
On the second terrace (which we call the “after-work terrace” because of the evening sun), you can also wind down the evening with a glass of wine under the hydrangea tree.
The laundry room (with washer and dryer) and the bike storage room (where e-bikes can be charged), both located at street level, are available for free use.

That’s exactly how we renovated and furnished Villa Botanica with a lot of passion—for people like us—who simply want to spend a few wonderful days here and enjoy themselves.

– now things are getting “spicy” (a fantastic Asian menu—on request, only mildly spicy or even vegetarian)
- anything but “dry” (baking bread, with a twist) :-
- how “sweet” is that? We’ll bake dolci (two different Italian dessert cakes): including Torta al Limone—and/or Torta di Amaretti and/or Panforte di Siena and/or Torta di Maroni
Italians love these cakes as dessert after a lovely meal—and so do I
