Cargo Cozy is a modern, cozy container retreat on 6 peaceful acres. Relax on the large deck with a hot tub and outdoor couch, dine outside on the patio, or gather by the fire pit under the stars. Inside, enjoy an open-concept space with a full kitchen, games, books, or a TV if you`d like to cuddle up on a chilly night. Two small-but-mighty bedrooms feature queen beds and four pillow options for the perfect night’s sleep.
The center of the home contains the kitchen, dining area, and living room in an `open floor plan` style layout.
Each of the two bedrooms, as well as the bathroom, are connected to the main area but have doors to provide privacy.
Wrapping around one half of the exterior of the home, is a covered deck. This is where the hot tub lives, and provide a great view of the well landscaped backyard, patio, and garden.
The backyard also features outdoor seating with a dinner table, a fire pit, and container garden.
The front yard is very long, with a long winding driveway that has 4 parking spaces.
The property sits on approximately 5 acres of land in a rural setting, so the view outside is peaceful and natural.
The property is directly across the streets from Bahle Farms Golf Course, in the heart of Leelanau County, and is a short drive from ALL of the best local attractions on the Leelanau Peninsula (Sleeping Bear Dunes, golfing, wineries/vineyards, Lake Michigan, M-22, Fishtown, etc.)
You`ll have access to everything on the property, with the exception of the exterior shed (locked and labeled).
Chris is the dedicated cohost and will be your point of contact during your trip.
It`s unlikely that you`ll meet him in person, but he is always available via the booking app, text, or mobile and is quite responsive to inquiries.

The area is in a rural location bordered by farmland, forest, and across the road from Bahle Farms Golf Course.
It`s a short drive to nearby multiple vineyards, golf courses, inland lakes, Lake Michigan, Suttons Bay, Lake Leelanau, and Leland, as well as M-22 and the Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Guests need their own transportation as ride shares are unreliable and there is no public transportation in the area.
The location of the home is both near and far from everything that Leelanau County has to offer. That means guests should plan to bring some snacks and food to prepare for meals, in order to guarantee the most comfortable stay!
Noteworthy:
1.) In the winter, guests should have 4WD for getting into and out of the driveway - it`s very long and winding, with snow drifts that can make the terrain difficult.
2.) The home uses well water, which has a high mineral content (hard water) so it has a water softener. We use a water softener and provide a Pur water filer for drinking. However, for guests who are very sensitive to hard water, we recommending bringing bottled water for drinking. Additionally, please note that mineral residue can appear on dish ware and give things a white/chalky appearance as a result of this.
3.) Prior to staying here, guests will be asked to sign a liability waiver on account of the hot tub.

Children must be accompanied by an adult when outside
No one under the age of 13 may use the hot tub
Don`t dispose of feminine products in toilet
Don`t dispose of food garbage or coffee grounds in the drain

No glass containers outside

No smoking on premises
Turn off lights, appliances, and water when you leave*
