About this cabin rental
Escape to Furu Haus, one of two cabins on the Highway 2 Hideaways property. This custom A-frame in the Cascade Mountains is where nature meets luxury. Wake up beneath skylights, unwind by a see-through fireplace, and enjoy a private deck surrounded by towering evergreens. Experience a spa-inspired retreat with a handcrafted sauna + outdoor shower, hot tub, and endless outdoor activities just minutes away. Furu Haus offers the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation for your PNW getaway.

If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living onsite 24/7.
Drinking water
Our cabin’s water supply comes from a drilled well and, as is common in well systems, may contain natural elements that can affect the taste. Please note our water is treated with extensive filtration and is 100% safe for drinking. However, if you have sensitive taste preferences, you may wish to bring your own drinking water during your stay.
Hot Tub Notice
We strive to keep the hot tub clean, heated, and ready for every guest. Occasionally, it may be necessary to drain and rebalance the hot tub. This is rare, but if maintenance falls during your reservation, we’ll do our best to have it available again as quickly as possible.
Power Outage Precaution
The local power grid in the Index neighborhood can occasionally experience outages, particularly from October to March.
• If the power goes out during your stay, you will need to start the generator to supply electricity. We’ll guide you through the process, but you must follow a few basic steps (outlined in the Guidebook).
• The fireplaces are gas operated and will provide warmth + light during any power outage. We also have outlet plug-in flashlights that turn on automatically when the power goes out and a lantern available in the kitchen.
• If you choose to not use the generator in the event of a power outage, the propane grill will be the only cooking source. Running water will not operate as the water is accessed from the well via a pump.
Shared Amenities
The spa area – including the hot tub, sauna, and outdoor shower – are shared between the two cabins on the property. Please be considerate of all guests when using these amenities. Please note that the outdoor shower is operational during the non-winter months due to frequent freezing temperatures.
Wifi
The only option for wifi in this area is Starlink as there are no internet service providers. Starlink can be interrupted by inclement weather and dense tree coverage that blocks the sky.
House Rules:
1. 2 car maximum – please park next to the A-frame, leaving the drive way clear for guests staying in the back cabin access to their space.
2. No Smoking anywhere on property. $500 fine.
3. No open flames other than the provided gas fireplaces / firepits.
4. White towels are to be used for Hot Tub / Sauna / Outdoor Shower. Gray towels are for indoor use only.
5. Any undisclosed pets are prohibited. All pets are subject to $50 pet fee. Limit one pet per stay.
6. Pets must be on leash at all times or contained on the deck – we want to be respectful of the neighbors to not have dogs wandering on their property. There is also wildlife and want your pets to be safe.
7. Report any damage during the stay (I understand that mistakes happen, I just please ask that you tell me)
8. Do not leave food or trash outside or on the deck as it attracts wildlife.
9. Please hang skis and snowboards on the provided ski / board racks in the closet
