Let me start by saying this: this is not a luxury hotel. It’s a small, modest property that opened just two months ago. But what it lacks in frills, it more than makes up for in heart, cleanliness, and genuinely exceptional service. The hotel itself is still spotless and feels brand new—everything from the bedding to the bathroom fixtures is in pristine condition. That said, there is one minor design quirk: the toilet and shower are not separated, so the bathroom floor can get a bit wet and messy after a shower. If you're traveling with kids or are particular about that, it's worth noting. But for us? We're all grown-ups, so we managed just fine—it wasn't a dealbreaker by any means. There's still some light construction happening around the area, but it never disturbed our peace or sleep. Now, the real star here is the service. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, and the manager in particular made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. He helped arrange a car for our trip to Moalboal, and his local tips were gold—he's the reason we discovered Sumilon Island, which we absolutely loved. Breakfast was another highlight—made fresh to order and served hot every morning. Simple, but delicious and satisfying. I also have to give a huge shout-out to the team for going above and beyond when I accidentally left my water shoes on the balcony after check-out. I only realized it once we were already in Moalboal. I emailed the hotel, and the manager replied immediately. He even called our previous driver to try and coordinate a delivery. Luckily, we had already arranged for that same driver to pick us up on our way back to Cebu City, so he kindly brought our shoes along. That level of care and responsiveness is something I'd expect from a high-end resort, not a small budget-friendly hotel. Location-wise, it's super convenient—a mall with a supermarket is within walking distance, so grabbing snacks or toiletries is a breeze. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely. If you're looking for luxury finishes and a separate shower enclosure, this might not be for you. But if you want a clean, comfortable, affordable stay with service that genuinely cares about you—book this hotel without hesitation. We left feeling like we'd made real friends, and we can't wait to return.

Our stay in CASA LUCIA is exceptional. From the special Buko Juice as a complimentary drink to the softest pillows and matresses,

15 mins drive from white beach where whale shark are found and around 3mins drive from Gaisano mall. They were still under construction when we came there but they have 8 comfortable , clean and cozy bedrooms ready for occupancy . It may not be the best resort but iy has everything you need. What i LOVE about casa lucia is the service! The staff were welcoming,attentive, helpful, very hospitable from the moment we checked in until we departed it was excellent and to the top! The food were good and they even made a set up by the beach to enjoy our breakfast. They offered free øife jackets and snorkelling gears for is to use. I highly recommend Casa Lucia. Definitely worth your money. We will surely choose Casa Lucia again.
