Sunset Colors

When I first saw this apartment on Booking, I never expected to discover such a hidden gem. It seems to be quite new on the platform, and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! During a previous stay in Alghero, I rented a brand-new apartment in the same area. Although modern, it felt rather cold and impersonal, more like an investment property than a real home. This apartment is the complete opposite. It is incredibly cosy, beautifully decorated with great taste, charming furniture, and a warm atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. One of the highlights for us were the two spacious terraces. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfast on the rear terrace overlooking a peaceful olive grove and a lovely modern church. In the afternoon and evening, we relaxed on the front terrace with stunning sea views. We were lucky enough to witness several breathtaking sunsets there, making it the perfect spot to unwind with an aperitivo. Simply wonderful! The owner still lives here part of the year and spends several months abroad, which means the apartment is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. It truly feels like staying in a real home rather than a holiday rental. The peace and quiet were another major plus. Even though we had our car parked right in front of the apartment, we hardly used it. Everything was within walking distance: the restaurants in the historic centre, the nearby Conad supermarket, and the small beach next to Hotel Las Tronas. There was even a bicycle available for guests to use, but we mostly chose to walk. The 20-minute stroll from this residential neighbourhood to Alghero's old town along the beautiful seafront promenade was simply too enjoyable to miss. About halfway, you'll find one of the town's most beautiful bars near Hotel Balear, where we stopped several times to enjoy the lovely atmosphere and sea views. We genuinely feel that we have found our dream place in Alghero with this lovely luxury apartment.
