Casa Elysium

We were a little apprehensive to book this property at first as there were no previous reviews, but we are so glad we did! This is a beautiful property and our favorite booking of our trip to Portugal. Excellent location in old town with beautiful views. Every bedroom had a balcony or terrace with a view of the water and the apartment was clean and very well appointed (in a classic high end Portuguese style) as well as comfortable. The property manager came to greet us and show us around so we felt connected if there were issues or questions. The apartment was very close to everything, including our favorite, Casa Do Prego. Highly suggest waiting in line for this restaurant. Well run, entertaining and great food (not part of the tourist trap restaurants on the main strip). We got there early and it worked out for our party of 7. Overall, this was a great booking for a larger group.

I can’t fault the property as it is an old building, but will say the water pressure is not great if multiple people are showering at once. However, worth overlooking this minor flaw by managing showers a bit to stay here!
