La Fuitina Suite View Taormina

What a find. The views are stunning, and the pool is fantastic. This is a quirky apartment overlooking Taormina, with Castelmola looking down. The apartment will not suit everyone due to the quirkyness, with old telephones, record players and audio cassettes. Oh. And there is gym equipment in the room! If we are in Taormina again this will be our first choice of accommodation!

For us, the path down to (and up from) town was not an issue, but it is not suitable for people with limited mobility. The bus from town is quick, but not too frequent.

Hele aardige mensen!

I stayed one night at "Fuitina" in June. When I first arrived in the city, it still felt like I was in Amsterdam, it was quite chaotic and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to relax, but to my great surprise, I changed my mind. The property is actually located in a higher, less chaotic part of Taormina and with free public parking nearby. From the structure you can go down a beautiful set of stairs (540+) to arrive at the center of Taormina. I really enjoyed doing this as it is an easy non steep staircase with a beautiful view on the Taormina bay area. To return to the structure, you can either go by buss or take a taxi. The structure is very particular and in vintage style . If you are into modern facilities or rooms, you should book elsewhere. The room had a comfortable bed, air-conditioning, equipment for training in total privacy and a nice view on the Letojanni beach area and the idyllic Castelmola. I was able to use the pool shared with the other guests at the villa next to the "Fuitina" ; it was a wonderful way to relax with a fantastic view surrounded by greenery. Mauro, the host was so welcoming and helpful! I’d love to come back, but next time I’ll stay for a few more days.
