The house in which the flat is located is in Conca dei Marini and is only a few metres from the sea. It can be reached by a flight of about 200 steps from the village or by water taxi from the sea. The house was built at the end of the 18th century and renovated in 2011/12. Guests can enjoy a unique and relaxing holiday amidst the sun, the sea and the colours of the Amalfi Coast. The building has a long history; initially it was used by the owners as a shipping company office, then as a pasta factory. Finally, in the 20th century, it served as a warehouse for the tuna fishing companies and was later also used by local fishermen. There is currently a restaurant on the ground floor of the building (the kitchen closes at 10 p.m.). However, the guests' peace and quiet is preserved as the flat has soundproof windows. For shopping, you can take the water taxi (about a five-minute ride) to Amalfi or take advantage of the offers in Conca dei Marini (about 1 km away). On the road above the fishing village there is a bus stop with connections to Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento. The beach offers a beach service with sun beds, umbrellas, boat rental and a water taxi service to Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento, Capri and many other places along the coast. There are also three restaurants with sea views. Guests are provided with a small guest book containing information about the house, Conca dei Marini and the Amalfi Coast, as well as some shopping tips; some offer discounts and welcome gifts. The flat on the first floor has a living area of about 110 square metres and consists of five rooms: living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms for two persons each, and two bathrooms. The living room is decorated with four wooden paintings and a porthole mirror from a 19th century yacht. It also offers a three-seater sofa that can also be used as a double sofa bed. The room is also equipped with an LCD TV. The view from the window is incomparable: the sea and sky of the Amalfi Coast and, in the background, Capo di Vettica Maggiore with its 16th-century watchtower. The open kitchen is decorated with handmade tiles from Vietri and also has a window overlooking the sea and the coast. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, refrigerator with freezer, an Italian espresso machine, plates, glasses, wine glasses, cutlery, pots, salad bowl and some plastic food containers. There is also a dining table for up to six people. The house also has two bedrooms. The first has a double bed (160 x 200 cm) and double-glazed windows; the second has two single beds (80 x 200 cm each) that can be joined together to form a double bed if desired. The furnishings are simple and comfortable. Each room is equipped with a wardrobe and two bedside tables. The beds are equipped with orthopaedic mattresses and hypoallergenic pillows. During the winter season, thicker blankets and duvets are also provided. The bathrooms are decorated with handmade Vietri tiles and have a washbasin, toilet, bidet and fully enclosed shower. In addition to air conditioning, satellite TV and Wi-Fi internet access, the flat also offers heating for winter stays. The rental price includes all services, such as bed linen, towels, bathrobes, air conditioning (in all rooms), wireless internet and satellite TV. In some cases, intermediate cleaning and linen change services are also offered. A washing machine and iron are also provided. A parking space in the garage above Conca dei Marini is included in the rental price. Please note this important information regarding arrival: a meeting will be organised in Amalfi. From there, guests and luggage will be transported by boat (free of charge on arrival and departure). The driver will then be able to park in the garage in Conca dei Marini, directly by the sea. He can then reach the house on foot. The staircase to the house consists of about 200 steps and runs through the old, picturesque part of the fishing village. The steps are comfortable and not steep.
