    If you are used to your usual hotel with a welcome lobby and full facilities, you may be shocked and surprised when you first enter the building. Reception is located on the 47 floor of a commercial building, rooms are located on 46 floor. It feels more like a motel than hotel, and pictures online a little deceiving. Aside from the less than ideal environment of the hotel, the room itself is quite basic but good enough for a short stay. Saving grace would be the staff's helpfulness. Views are decent.

    The room was overall clean and tidy, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows were a highlight. During the day, you can look out over the urban landscape of Yuzhong from above, with a beautiful view of Chongqing’s ‘Eye in the Clouds.’ Once night falls and the lights along both banks of the two rivers come on, you get an unobstructed view of the city’s famous mountain-nightscape. The atmosphere was fantastic. I also really appreciated how convenient the hotel’s WeChat service was. You can simply message them with whatever you need, and when I asked for recommendations, they were happy to send me links directly, which made everything so easy. I had a few specific housekeeping requests during my stay, and they followed every single one even on the following days when I forgot to remind them. That level of attentiveness really stood out to me. I also had a small injury during my stay and needed to use their freezer twice a day to take care of it. I felt like I was bothering them quite often, but not once did they make me feel like a burden. The girls at the front desk were consistently kind, patient, and helpful, which I really appreciated. One last thing I was really picking about when choosing a hotel were the lifts, I read a few reviews that some hotels only had one working lift and was worried about this one but i can confirm it has 3 working lifts! The location is also excellent, especially for getting taxis—the pickup is very convenient, which made getting around Chongqing much easier. Overall, a very comfortable stay with genuinely thoughtful service. I would happily stay here again.

    The hotel is great value for money considering how high the floors go and where it is located. The views are great depending on which side of the hotel you are facing, and the layout is nicely designed. The Cloud Eye Observation Deck is also located in the same building on the top floor, which makes it convenient to visit during your stay. The staff were very helpful and attentive during my stay. They were friendly and answered any questions I had.
