We were the very first guests to stay in this apartment, and overall we had a fantastic experience. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we extended our original four-night stay by an extra two nights, which says a lot about how much we loved being here. The location is exceptional. The apartment sits directly above a beautiful pebble beach with crystal-clear water, and right next door is Tarkiz Beach Bar – a perfect place to relax by the sea. Downstairs is Le Petit Paradis, the owner’s restaurant, where we enjoyed several delicious homemade-style meals at very reasonable prices. Guests also receive a generous 20% discount, which was a lovely bonus. Mijo, the owner, was incredibly accommodating, friendly and easy-going throughout our stay. The apartment is about a 10-minute walk along the waterfront promenade into Jelsa town centre and around 30 minutes to Vrboska. The promenade is beautifully lit at night, there’s a supermarket nearby, parking is easy, and the area is peaceful and quiet. The apartment itself is newly renovated with a large balcony offering beautiful sea views and comfortable outdoor furniture. Both bedrooms have excellent air conditioning, which also helps cool the living area. There is also a rental business on the ground floor offering ATVs, scooters and Vespas, which would be very convenient for guests wanting to explore Hvar without a car.

As the first guests, it was clear the renovations had only just been completed before we arrived. The apartment still needed a proper post-construction clean, as there was quite a bit of building dust and some unfinished details. The overall finish is a little rough around the edges, with a few cosmetic issues and some missing items such as the oven, rubbish bins, hooks and a few kitchen essentials. The shower water pressure and Wi-Fi could also be improved. None of these things really affected our enjoyment of the stay, and we expect many of them will be resolved as the apartment becomes established. However, if you’re someone who pays close attention to fine finishing details, these imperfections may stand out more. Overall, this is a wonderful apartment in an unbeatable location. With a few finishing touches, a thorough clean after the renovations and a handful of extra guest comforts, it has the potential to be outstanding. We absolutely loved our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
