Capitol Hill 4-Bed Retreat for Groups

It's near to space needle somewhat noisy. not recommended if you have car.

This rental features an excellent location within walking distance of downtown Seattle's main attractions, a couple of good grocery stores, and several excellent restaurants. The host was highly responsive and clear about check-in and check-out procedures. The building itself is quite secure, requiring access through two separate coded doors. However, the neighborhood has a persistent smell of marijuana. Because this is a basement unit with two windows—one which houses the window air conditioner—the odor drifts inside. Street noise is also audible all day and most of the night. Parking is challenging. We could not find anything nearby that allowed parking for more than two hours, so we paid $20 a day. If we stay in this area again, we plan to take a taxi from the airport and simply rent a car for specific days from one of the two rental agencies within walking distance. Inside, the unit was very clean, and the linens were excellent. The shower is tall with great water pressure and plenty of warm water. However, there are no towel hooks in the bathroom, and there is a rotting subfloor right next to the shower. Taller guests should also note that the ceilings are low and slanted in the hallway and bedrooms. The layout consists of three tiny rooms with doors. One room holds a queen bed and another holds a full bed. A third queen size bed is located in the main living space; two of these mattresses are comfortable, but the third queen is lumpy and uncomfortable. The two queen rooms are so tight there is barely a foot of walking space around the sides. The third room has a lumpy, uncomfortable twin bed, a desk, and plenty of space. It also has a couple of mirrors, so we used it as a vanity space / changing room. I tried to work there, but the router is on the other side of a concrete wall. Moving the desk to the main living space solved the problem; the Wi-Fi was excellent for Zoom meetings and streaming movies without buffering.
