Villa Gloria

The grounds of the property are beautiful, it’s the first thing that you see as you’re approaching and the grounds staff obviously do a wonderful job to keep everything well looked after. The pool area is serene, and you can tell the property itself has been a very passionately and thoughtfully renovated and curated. The high ceilings and baroque internal features make you feel like you are staying somewhere regal. Regardless of the beautiful building and surroundings, what makes it such a lovely place to stay is the hosts - everyone we spoke to was so welcoming, genuine and super helpful. The breakfast specials are a MUST try, the chef (sorry we didn’t get his name) obviously loves his craft and creates the tastiest - and also - most beautiful food. Shoutout to Zorro, the Jack Russell Terrier who is obviously the main character 🖤 Location is ideal for exploring Salento and gives a perfect option of relaxing around the pool on days where you want stay put.

The only suggestion I have is a window dressing in the zaccaria suite bathroom, not a huge issue but would have been nice to have the option to close a shutter/blind whilst getting ready.

Villa Gloria is a stately and stylish oasis with spacious historical rooms and comfortable furnishings. The poolside is tranquil and invigorating …true to the Conceptual Designer/Manager Nabil’s vision of “The Art of Relax”. The service team members are so kind and felt like family after even a short stay. We enjoyed getting to know Francesca and Laura and they treated us like VIP’s, even inviting us to a wine tasting the evening of our arrival. I can’t complete this review without commenting on the incredible breakfasts, highlighted by the chef’s special dish each morning. We initially booked two nights at the villa but quickly (and fortuitously) were able to extend by another two after realizing how special this place is. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.

A car is necessary to get to restaurants.

Assolutamente tutto perfetto.
