The Reef Motel

Reef Motel and oceanview hotel is one and the same operation the business requires a complete upgrade as it was like stepping back to the 60s. The exterior of the building was undergoing an paint job which limited the free parking availability. The family unit that was booked wasn't what was expected like a separate bedroom and kitchenette. What we received was double bed and 2 singles side by side in 1 room no kitchenette facilities not even a microwave to heat up any food just 4 cups 4 teaspoons and an electric jug not even saucers to act as plates. Tea and coffee sachets looked like they were purchased from the expired food bank. The bathroom shower head had limited flow,toilet seat had uric acid delamination and the exterior deck several tiles had lifted and were sharp and dangerous to walk on without footwear The staff however were very helpful and apologetic thinking they had upgraded us to a superior room in the hotel ?? Overall if the building was undergoing a major renovation then should be advertised as such and priced accordingly

I booked the Reef Motel and was upgraded to oceanfront because the rooms didn’t match the description and what I paid for. One staff member was unhappy about the upgrade and became snobbish, turning his nose up at us.

Enjoyed the break

Wifi was 🐌 and the room though spacious was dated. The furniture was old and stained. The pictures looked way nicer than reality. I wouldn't come back.
