This was the old Accacia Hotel which was popular with the locals many years ago and is now being renovated by the new owners. I stayed in an older styled room which was comfortable with all the amenities. A reasonable walk along the Esplanade to the City Centre. My only criticism is the lack of a snack bar although there are machines in the foyer. The price for the rooms takes into account of painters and tradies sharing the public areas.

Nice stay, rather 'old school', which is fine, price is right, showers were poor pressure, and access was not good, having to 'climb' into what is essentially a bath tub was not my ideal. My only complaint, I want a shower not a bath tub. I love the location and ocean views

Everything was good, the bed was okay could of been a queen not a double as we were suppose to be getting a queen size bed, what we paid for .. bed wasnt bad ,but wasn't A Plus either ,more thicker pillows would be nice , so a little more money spent on pillows would go a long way, and a upgrade in there furnishings , like the chairna and table ,are so outdated and need some modern changes as well as the balcony had nothing on it ,no table or two chairs ,so we had to take the two chairs from inside ,to be able to sit on balcony ,and then take back inside,it should already have that supplied on balcony .. and towels when it comes to house keeping .. why do housekeepers skip the essentials.. a room for two should always have Two Bath/Shower Towles, a Hand Towel, a Bath Mat Towel for the Floor & 2 Face towels.
It had all of the Towles except the Two Face Towels.
Bathroom has been newly renovated, to a standard modern look with a round mirror and two shower heads , a big shower head and a small shower head ,that is a detachable hose , so the bathroom is great , it's just a shame ,they have not finished andade the room the same and updated the furniture and side table next to bed , all very old and needs to be updated the room and furniture, and please don't miss the balcony , the two chairs at the least on balcony ,would of been so helpful ..
The roped that are hanging past the balcony ,have been explained due to renovating,upgrades and maintenance going on, but I'm sure this could maintained and ropes put away from 5-7 PM till 7 AM, business hours , so that guests can maintain there feeling of safety and harmony in there own space , as that feels very off ,hanging in front of your balcony view ,two ropes ,or two to four ropes hanging past your balcony .. makes me feel unsafe and on edge, for a few reasons .. other then that ,was quite we easy to check in with helpful reception staff and just easy going check in , efficient and quick they are ,which is awesome ,there interaction with there guests is good and clear..
And Allround , cleanliness of room is about 3 or 4 stars out of 5 I would rate .. and it's value for money is quite good ,at $120 a night , so not bad at all.
